Vir-go - fall/winter 2001

Vir-go by Kafi Wilson & Karen Uhm has brought a breath of fresh air staging their fall-winter 2001 collection after elaborate parade of fur designs presented by the Fur Council of Canada. They painted on the body of models, scribbling with see-through fabric stitching and warm pastel colours, creating an image of flowting flowers and water ripples.

A sensual gathering of silk tops, floral appliqué and stencil prints add an extra dimension to simple lines, offering an uplifting image. The up-coming designers have created a successful fusion of well-tailored pieces with unique detailing executed in soft suede, wool and silk. The collection was accessorized with hand-made leather flowers by Rob Fajfrowski, specially designed for vir-go’.
