Joeffer Caoc - fall/winter 2008

What’s black and blue and leather all over? Joeffer Caoc’s fall/winter 2008 might give you a clue.

An electric blue felted wool jacket is the type of strong foot forward that Caoc takes this season, showing us that he means business. The designer’s architectural roots poke out in such pieces as the twisted jersey wrap dress, and in others that similarly use swaths of fabric to create a waist-line.

As part of an alarming (though pleasing) trend in fall/winter Canadian fashion, designers are getting skimpy with fabric. The peek-a-boo effect is hard to ignore in Joeffer Caoc’s latest offering, what with off-the-shoulder tops, scoop-back dresses, plunging necklines, and more bare skin than you can cover with a bucket of bronzing powder.

Coac translates this sexiness into outerwear, with a mink jacket and burgundy calf coat, as well as a few leather options, including a blue jacket with jutting collar and glimpses of dual-tone trim.
