Philip Sparks - fall/winter 2008

Canada might have had a fall/winter 2008 fashion season almost entirely devoid of men’s wear, were it not for Philip Sparks.

Three-piece tuxedos are snazzy with their tight fits and razor-sharp vests. Have you ever seen James Bond so glam? We are given a more décontractée look with the sheen-finish jeans and striped tops for couture cowboys. What trendy men’s collection would be complete without a V-neck argyle sweater for a dose of geek chic? There are also cardigans in a variety of autumn solids, just for good measure.

Square shoulders lead the way for silhouettes in this collection, and a spate of jackets carry these sharp cuts in fine form. Double-breasted blazers are long and ample, while leather jackets are cropped and slightly more colourful.
