Charlie - spring/summer 2006

A commitment to fluidity is what unites the ruffle-fronted tops, the butterfly dress, and the super-comfy looking pants. The jungle print tunic dress would look elegant no matter how hastily it was snatched off the rack and thrown on. Charlie even glams it up with mother-of-pearl moonwebs, making sure that they intersect with sinuous cuts.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but there seems to be something Italian in the silhouettes: the strong divisions between upper and lower body often resulting in a higher bust line, big sleeves and ultra-delicate treatment around the neck. And correct me again, but judging by the diversity of this collection it seems that Charlie already has blueprints for the seasons to come.
