Zoran Dobric - spring/summer 2009

Zoran Dobric gives a master class in hand-painting and structural balance for spring/summer 2009.

Delicate hand-painting, it would seem, has become a staple in Zoran Dobric collections. We see gently swirling rivulets of colour running down black chiffon dresses and skirts with cinched hems (hems being an unmistakeable spring/summer 2009 trend). A painted, semi-transparent gauze top partially covers a sculpted, boiled skirt, demonstrating the kind of structural counterpoint that permeates the collection. The cowl neck striped top is a rigid futuristic piece that defies category, yet it is paired with streamlined black peau-de-soie pants with razor-sharp pleats, for a delightful contrast.
