Toronto: Frocktail Party

The Frocktail Party brings together Canadian fashion designers, celebrities & the Toronto social scene to raise money for JDRF. Inspired by fashion and compassion, the first annual Frocktail Party invites you to sip, shop and shake it up, in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foudation.

The Frocktail Party silent auction will feature dresses from Canadian designers such as: Ashley Rowe, Greta Constantine, David Dixon, Jeremy Laing, and Jay Godfrey. Local celebrities including CTV’s Leah Miller, eTalk’s Tanya Kim and television personality Valerie Pringle have generously donated a favorite pre-loved gown for the cause. All featured frocks will be auctioned for purchase with 100% of proceeds going to JDRF - so let the bidding begin!

While the men browse, the women beautify at “The FGI Beauty Boutique.” Sponsored by Fashion Group International Toronto and featuring hair by Chiggy’s Touch and makeup by Agency Vert.

Everyone appreciates dresses and a good party. The Frocktail Party caters to the gentleman who admire and the ladies that inspire, so please join us for a Frocktail, a rockin’ DJ and a stylish shake down in support of JDRF.

INSPIRATION & BACKGROUND: The Frocktail Party started with a close group of friends who wanted to make a difference: Ali Reid, Talor Wallace, Catherine Pringle, Sabrina Carr, Christina Perreault, Lorraine Forster and Jen Foster who have long standing friendships with sisters Vanessa and Jessica Oliver — Vanessa was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at six-years old and has lived with daily insulin injections, finger pokes, insulin pump and the worry of long-term complications every day for the past 25 years. In their ten-year relationship with the Oliver family, the girls have seen Vanessa and the Oliver family face these challenges with courage, grace and a fierce commitment to supporting a quest for a cure. With this, they were inspired to create the Frocktail Party to show love and gain support for this important cause.
