For the spontaneous spa planner, the launch of SpaandTravel.com by top industry make-up artist Josée Beaudoin comes just in time to chase those winter blues away, without dropping a lot of pocket change.

SpaandTravel.com is a newly minted one-stop search engine with spa and hotel deals and reviews in major Canadian cities, though it also covers major North American cities including New York and Boston. It is fairly simple – search with a particular treatment in mind, in a city of your choice or a featured spa, and you’re done. Stay romantic without blowing your budget.

If the launch party in early February was any indication, SpaandTravel.com is the place to be. Promoted by Soraya Mangal of MMPR and partly sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drinks, the launch had makeup artists Tracy Peart and Carla Naylor, as well as actresses Amanda Stepto and Stacie Mistysyn (who you’ll recognize as cast members of Degrassi: The Next Generation) mingling with guests and enjoying back rubs courtesy of Senses Spa.
